The TREND programme

The TREND programme supports industrial research and experimental development through Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR)

This is the most important programme for the business sector to motivate the penetration of new markets and the implementation of results into practice. Among other things, new digital technologies that increase the level of automation and robotics will be supported, as well as companies that are just starting out in research.

What are the areas of support

The programme will support projects that aim to achieve a concrete applied result of research and development with a proven way of subsequent application in practice. The projects will focus on the following technological knowledge domains, the so-called KETs:

  • Advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Advanced materials and nanotechnology
  • Photonics and micro-/nanoelectronics
  • Biotechnology
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Digital security and connectivity

What can be supported

  • personal costs for researchers, technicians and other support staff to the extent necessary for the purposes of the project (including employers’ contributions);
